A Teacher’s Training 300 RYT for the certification of Yoga Alliance 500 RYT has been created to offer those skills and tools so to teach advanced levels through your personal development and progress, and fully release your professional potential and prospects.

Advanced JYOTI YOGA Teacher’s Training 300 RYT is addressed only to teachers who have successfully completed the 200 RYT program and wish to deepen their knowledge and boost their career.

Yoga lovers, professionals and scientists from other sectors will support you to delve deeper into Yoga. We have all worked together and created a program that combines traditional educational methods and therapies with the modern values of Mindfulness, Coaching, Psychology, Human Anatomy and Physiology.

Through Asanas, Advanced Pranayama, Meditation, Yoga Philosophy, Human Anatomy and Coaching, this course is a real life changing experience. At the end of this advanced course, teachers trained in the 500 RYT program will have the appropriate skills and tools to teach advanced levels, beginners and even specialized groups of students. They will be able to incorporate Yoga Philosophy, knowledge, educational skills and tools to create a map for a life of meaning, goals, aspirations, joy and fulfilment.

The main units of the program include:

Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Adjustments:

We deepen our asana knowledge. Through our specialized personal strengthening program, our body gets well-balanced and evolves so it supports conscientiously, with safety and confidence more challenging asanas. Through a total experience, we cultivate the ability to teach advanced trainees in groups or individually. We analyze the miracle of breathing. With advanced pranayama and everyday practice, we fully experience their benefits and enhance the connection of body and mind. We practice, lengthen and go deep with meditation techniques of heightened sensibility, focused attention, internal quietness and peace. Meditation becomes part of our everyday life and personal growth. As we become fully aware we are able to teach these techniques. We optimize our touching techniques aiming to the alignment of our physical body.

Anatomy and Physiology of Yoga

In this advanced course we will review the key postures of yoga practice and their safe anatomical alignment, health benefits, adjustments, and useful modifications. We will explore the muscular, endocrine, respiratory, and nervous systems in order to understand the function and physiology of the human body. Our main focus, however, will be to thoroughly explore them from an energetic perspective. Understanding how each posture works as a key ingredient of a master recipe is one of the most important aspects of developing your skills beyond the physical concept of yoga and establishing yourself as a master teacher.

Energy Anatomy (Chakras , Nadis):

We will explore our energy centers and channels of prana movement, the bioenergy of our body. Students will obtain deep knowledge of the energy system, of energetic bodies and entities as well as their qualities. We will analyze chakras and the way they affect our health and psychology. Upon the completion of this unit we will have experienced this energy and gained profound knowledge of the skill to perceive the word of energy.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda means knowledge of the science of living. At first it was a tradition transmitted orally from one generation to another. The first texts appeared 3.000 years ago in India. This theory develops the principles than govern people and the universe. Keeping the principles of Ayurveda, one can have a well-balanced health. It interconnects the concepts of Spirit, Mind, Body, environment and man, material and energy, nutrition and temperament, into one practical and holistic treatment of all health issues.

Psychology

Through motion we embrace the soul. We integrate the emotions with the conscious thought. All these shape man, affecting interactively and constantly one another and the dynamic flow of the body form.

Which are the most common issues we are dealing with today? Which are their main characteristics? How can we identify them? Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Addictions, Toxic Situations and many more.

How are we dealing with the dissimilarities of our students? How can we refuel our students with energy? During certain time we analyze the fundamental issues of teacher-student relationship aiming at totally effective coaching of the trainee.

History, Philosophy and Tradition

This course will offer very thorough examination of Indian Philosophy and theory behind practice. The Vedas, the Brahmana, the Upanishads. The six members – auxiliary of Veda. The five Vedas: Ayurveda, Atharvaveda, Dhanurveda, Sthapatyaveda, Arthashastra. The two epics: Ramayana, Mahabharata. The three unorthodox systems and the six orthodox Philosophical (and Yoga). The dawning and the development of Yoga. The philosophy of classic Yoga of Patanjali and subsequent systems.

Restorative Yoga – Introduction to Therapeutic Yoga

At this course you will meet restorative postures, sequences and their benefits. The slow rhythm of this practice will lead us to a different procedure of exercises and the creation of a program aiming at relaxation and the ease of the tension and pain caused in everyday life.

Yoga Nidra 

Yoga Nidra is highly effective for reduction of stress and for understanding deep states of meditation and consciousness. We teach how it works and how to develop your own yoga nidra classes.

Yoga for Children

Yogis take their most creative role. Yoga is taught in a special way that is fun and educational as well. Drama, fun and educational games combined with asanas facilitate self-expression, cooperation and the social growth of the children. Breathing exercises, visualization and introduction to mindfulness give the necessary tools to the teacher to build complete and essential units of children yoga practice.

Pregnancy Yoga

In a very important period of time in a woman’s life, yoga comes to help her enjoy it to the fullest. Appropriate asanas will be taught. Pranayama and relaxation techniques will increase fitness levels and the connection of the mother with the baby.

The Art of Teaching

Continuous weekly practice of our students aiming at the improvement of their ability to create a sequence of poses and describe them, to practice adjustments, to create a class of deep relaxation and meditation. With a course plan offering constant and encouraging feedback, trainees keep improving and evolving themselves. At the end of the program, trainees will be able to create their own courses and flow of practices and present them effectively and confidently.

Marketing

One of the main reasons why our teacher–training program differs is that we share the art of the business aspect of Yoga. We will introduce the concepts of Branding, Pricing, Positioning and effective communication. At the end of this unit, the trainees will have strong knowledge of the importance of Marketing and their business actions.

Panagiota Tsirigoti – Course Director

Panagiota Tsirigoti is the founder of JYOTI YOGA school. She teaches as a lead trainer in the teacher-training programs Hatha Yoga 200 RYT και 500 RYT and restorative yoga programs. She is specialized in breast cancer yoga programs, in groups or in private lessons, coaching and personal development. She participates in conferences and lectures about restorative yoga and mindfulness. She is a certified by Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Yoga Teacher Ε-500RYT, Ε-200 RYT και YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider). She coordinates seminars of emotions management in children and teenagers. She has been trained both in Greece and abroad. Panagiota Tsirigoti both teaches and keeps being trained herself, making JYOTI YOGA vision a reality, a dynamic and exciting journey. She inspires people to learn, exercise, grow and enjoy every moment of their life.

Nikos Kazanas

Nikos Kazanas is the founder of Omilos Meleton Cultural Institute, where he teaches the practical philosophy of Vedata & Yoga, and the concepts of Ancient- Greek Philosophy and Christianism. He has visited many ashrams in India. Shankarachrya of the North has been his teacher for 35 years, of Jyotir Math, until the death of the latter in 1997. He was born in the Greek island of Chios and studied English Literature at University College, Economics and Philosophy at the School of Economic Science and Sanskrit at the School of Oriental and African studies in London. Ηe is also a post-graduate at SOAS and at Deccan College in Pune. (India) In Greece he has published treatises of social, economic and philosophical interest. He has many publications in Western and Indian Journals and some books. He has also translated the ten principal Upanishads from the original Sanskrit text into Greek. He was the Editor of the scientific journal Vedic Venues and now he is a member of the Editorial Board of many scientific journals in India. As a world-famous Indologist he has taken part in many conferences and given lectures in various Universities in India, Europe and America.

Nectaria Asimakopoulou, MD, Msc

Nectaria Asimakopoulou, MD, Msc has graduated the Medical School, and worked as in the Emergency Department of General Hospital in Lakonia. Greece, as a doctor of occupational medicine in Sotiria Hospital, in 251 Airforce General Hospital, in ‘Andreas Syggros’ Hospital of Cutaneous & Venereal Diseases and in the Eye Hospital of Athens. She attended the postgraduate program of Occupational and Environmental Health of the National School of Public Health. She has been trained in Acupuncture and she has been actively practicing acupuncture, as an internationally accredited and certified practitioner. She has been trained in Homeopathy (European Certificate) which she practices, as well. She has been a scientific associate in big companies, in the field of parapharamaceutical products, healthcare technology and medical marketing. She has been trained in the field of Medical Aesthetics and Medical Translation. She has also taught Anatomy to students of Teacher Training Yoga Programs. She is a Yoga RYT 200 Teacher, herself, being trained in JYOTI YOGA School.

Dr Nikolaos Kostopoulos

Dr Nikolaos Kostopoulos, has graduated the Medical School of Athens University in 1984. He has worked in the Kidney Unit in Athens Nautical Hospital, in the ER of “Sotiria” Regional Chest Diseases Hospital of Athens and in the Respiratory Department of Manchester Royal Infirmary. He has worked in private practice, in Harley Street, London, for ten years, combining Ayurveda with modern medicine. He was introduced to Ayurveda by Asvin Barot. Since 1999, Dr Nikolaos Kostopoulos has founded and directs Holistic Health Centre, in which he sees patients who come from all over the world. In the same time, he studies with Asvin Barot psychosomatic diseases, and stress relief using Ayurveda methods. He participates in international conferences and he organizes a series of seminars and lectures in England, Ireland Germany, France, Switzerland, Canada, Japan and India, promoting the scientific implementation of Ayurveda.

Virginia Makri

Virginia Makri was born in Athens in 1977. She studied Psychology in Lumiere University Lyon-II in France and in the University of Montreal in Canada. She is a postgraduate of Goldsmith’s College of University of London, in the field of Psychological Assessment. She works as a private practice psychologist and psychotherapist of teenagers and adults using the method of Somatic Psychotherapy and Biosynthesis. She strongly believes in interaction of emotions, body and mind as well as in the contribution and influence of cell memory of the body in the growth, behavior and correlation of man with the environment. She also specializes in Clinical Psychological Assessment of teenagers and adults using Personality Questionnaires and Projective Tests. At the same time, she combines vocational guidance with teenage counselling for more effective support. She is a member of the Association of Greek Psychologists and of the International Biosynthesis Institute.
